#AustraliaSwims 2019 launch with Swimming Australia

On Monday 3 December Swimming Australia invited us to North Sydney Olympic Pool to celebrate the launch of Australia Swims 2019.
The launch included a Salti Float session during a Sunrise live weather cross with Sam Mac, while he interviewed Dawn Fraser. We were also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to meet and spend some time chatting to the legend herself.
World record holder Cate Campbell was also there to help launch the event, along with CEO of Swimming Australia, Leigh Russell.
The Sydney skies graced us with sunshine and warmth and it was a fabulous event to have been involved in.
Australia Swims is a nine day event from 19-28 January encouraging every Australian to reconnect with their love of the water.
There'll be experiences all over Australia giving everyone the chance to get involved, share and celebrate moments in the water, which is something we are extremely passionate about.
There's also an opportunity to join a team to pledge your swimming distances in an attempt to complete a virtual lap of Australia (that's 35,877km!)
We're excited to be getting behind this initiative because Salti is fast becoming a link to engage non-swimmers and occasional recreational swimmers, encouraging people to return to their local pool and get active in a way that is fun, inclusive and social.
We see this also contributing to the Sport Australia Move It AUS campaign as it's our mission to encourage everyday Australian's to get active. We look forward to seeing participation in physical activity and swimming continue to rise while we do our part to help.
Salti will be hosting events during the Australia Swims campaign with details to be announced.
