Between September and November, we travelled over 13,000km on a promotional tour to meet with key people in the aquatics industry and showcase the Salti Float.
In our custom built van (because we love the #vanlife), we set off on a road trip around the east of Australia and saw some incredible destinations in between demonstrations and meetings. We visited so many pools that we lost count, met loads of great people, handed out all of our business cards and info packs (we had to order more and wait for them in exotic places until they were shipped), struggled with a minor sunburn, we were bitten by midges and other bugs, we developed a phobia of crocodiles and had the opportunity to enjoy some stunning swimming pools along the way.
Being on the road, and on a tight schedule, meant many of our days were spent driving along highways filled with nothing more than emus and tumbleweeds. We made sure to stop and stretch along the way and find at least 30 minutes a day to get our bodies moving. From swimming to bike riding and Salti sessions where we could access a pool (or ocean). In our down time, which wasn't a great deal, we enjoyed the breath takings places our country has to offer.
Eight weeks later, we wrapped up our tour and we're feeling grateful to have had so many fabulous people in the industry keen to see us and the Salti Float, experience it for themselves and introduce a floating aquatics program to their community.
Here's some of our behind the scenes highlights of our tour, mostly off-duty and enjoying our country.
We took the long road from Canberra to Port Douglas and back again.
