We're a Canberra based team with a huge passion for the water and we want to show Australians, and the rest of the world, how being active can be fun, while getting people excited about their local pools again.
While we're at it, we want to help combat the current issue we're facing of low participation in sport and physical activity.
In Australia, only 59 per cent of people are getting active regularly, and national participation levels in swimming is reducing, which impacts overall health of our nation, as well as businesses in the swimming/aquatics industry.
As a nation of sport and water lovers, almost half are living a sedentary lifestyle. We believe that the Salti Float can help more people get active and grow recreational swimming participation by getting people back into local pools by giving Australians a fun and fresh way to move their body, while reinvigorating aquatic fitness, becoming a pathway for new recreation swimmers, or a cross training tool for exisiting swimmers.
We know that low sport and physical activity impacts mental health, and reports from Sport Australia state that the high levels of sedentary behaviour and physical inactivity can have a significant negative impact on a nation’s health budget and wider economy.
So we've made it our mission to help. By introducing the Salti Float to facilities across the country, our aim is to get people active in a way that non-competitive, light hearted, inclusive and fun, while developing strength and improving the overall health and wellbeing.
From our humble beginnings launching classes in Canberra, you can now find facilities running classes in Sydney, the Central Coast, the NSW South Coast and Queensland. We plan on working with the aquatics industry to grow these locations across the country and internationally so everyone can experience the fun and benefits of a floating aqua program.
We're looking forward to working with the aquatics industry to spread Salti vibes and to transform aqua fitness.
