Exercise Set up

Starting a class

Always start the class with participants in the middle of the Float, this is the centre of gravity and assists with stability of the Float.

Classes should start at the lower level (seated) and progress to standing as the class continues. This assists participants in gaining an understanding of the movement beneath them and to allow time for confidence to build.

Standing on the Float

When standing, participants should be centred, hip width apart.
This is the most stable position on the Float.
Always remind participants to return to centre during every exercise.

Exercise variations

For more challenging exercises or variations, participants can rotate to face the long edge of the Float or the back of the Float instead of towards pool deck.

Hand placement

If instructing exercises such as a push up or plank, always cue to put the hands underneath or directly on top of the logo (depending on the height of participant)
